Pro Tools for Google Slides™ (“the add-on”, “we”, “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your data. This Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed and used when you use our Google Workspace add-on.

Pro Tools for Google Slides operates fully inside your Google Workspace environment.

The Add-on:

• Does not store your images or information on external servers
• Does not transmit slide content outside your Google™ account
• Does not collect personal or sensitive information
• Only stores minimal licensing data required to verify Pro subscriptions

Your content always remains under your control and inside your own Google Drive™ and Google Slides™ .

2. Information We Access

The add-on requires certain Google™ permissions to function. These permissions are used only to provide features you explicitly trigger.

2.1 Google Slides™

Used to:

• Read and modify slide elements at your request
• We do not access or store data beyond what is required to perform the selected action.
• Export slide images when requested
• Apply actions to the current slide or across slides
• Run cleanup and formatting tools
• Adjust text, shapes, images, and layouts

2.2 Google Drive™

Used for optional Image Library features:

1. Browsing user-selected Drive folders
2. Exporting slide images to Drive
3. Managing slide or asset libraries (if enabled)
4. Inserting images or slides from Drive

All file interactions occur only within your Google account.
We never receive, store, or transmit any file content.

2.3 User Email Address

Your email is used solely for:

• Licensing verification (Free / Trial / Pro)
• Subscription management via Stripe
• Authentication of your Pro plan across devices

No other personal information is collected.

3. Information We Store

The only data we store on our secure licensing server (Firebase) is:

• Email address
• License plan: free / trial / pro
• License status: active / expired
• Trial end date
• Stripe subscription ID (if applicable)
• Timestamp of last update
• This information is necessary to deliver subscription features such as Pro-only tools.

We do NOT store:

• Images
• File metadata
• File names
• Slide content
• IP addresses
• Usage logs
• Search queries
• OAuth tokens
• Google Drive file IDs beyond runtime processing

If you use the Pexels search tab:

• Only the search query goes to Pexels’ API
• No personal data or images are ever sent

5. How We Protect Your Data

We follow strict data protection practices:

• No external storage of images or slide content
• No sharing of licensing data with third parties
• No advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies
• HTTPS everywhere
• No persistent tokens or Drive file IDs stored
• Limited OAuth use in compliance with Google Restricted Scope policies
• We do not monetize user data.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share your data with:

• Advertising networks
• Data brokers
• Analytics platforms
• Third-party services (except Stripe for payments)
• Stripe

If you purchase a Pro subscription, Stripe securely processes your payment. Stripe receives:

• Your email
• Payment details you enter in their checkout page
• Stripe does not receive any Google Drive or Google Slides data.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

7.1 Licensing data

We retain your licensing record only for as long as your subscription is active.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

7.2 No stored content

Since we do not store images, slide files, or library files, there is nothing else to delete.

8. User Controls & Consent

The Add-on only interacts with files when you:

• Click “Insert”
• Click “Replace”
• Click “Add to Library”
• Use grid, alignment, export, or other tools
• No automated background collection occurs.
• Uninstalling the Add-on immediately removes all access.

9. Children’s Privacy

Pro Tools for Google Slides™ is not intended for individuals under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect improvements or legal requirements.
The latest version will always be available on our website and Workspace listing.
